Revenge of Broken Jaw
The twelfth episode of the US science fiction crime drama, Life on Mars known as The Simple Secret of the Note in Us All was first broadcast on 25 February 2009 produced by 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios for ABC.
The squad looks to solve the murder of a newspaper columnist. After learning that the columnist had visited a gallery owned by Tony Crane, a man whom Sam has arrested in the 2000s for a very similar crime, Sam becomes an advocate for the 1973-style vigilante policing he's usually fighting against, while the media glare has Hunt uncharacteristically insistent on a strictly by-the-book investigation. The rest of the precinct believe, and look to prove, that the murderer is a restaurant chef.
- This episode is a loose adaptation of the first episode of the British series' second season, including the name and essential nature of the antagonist.
- The title is taken from The Who's "Pure and Easy".
