Matthew Macfadyen is an English actor from Norfolk. He was born in Great Yarmouth. Macfadyen made a guest appearance in the seventh episode of Ashes to Ashes, playing Gil Hollis.
Macfadyen's guest role is not the only tie he has with the show - he has been married to Alex Drake's portrayer, Keeley Hawes, since 2004.
Macfadyen is probably best known for playing Tom Quinn in Spooks, and Fitzwilliam Darcy in Pride and Prejudice (2005), the latter opposite Kiera Knightley.
