HM Prison Fenchurch was a penal facility managed by Her Majesty's Prison Service which was located in the City of London area near Fenchurch East police station during the 1980s. In 1983 it was the site of two severe riots in which police officer Viv James was held hostage by the prisoners. It would later be the site of the death of Sergeant James. (A2A Series 3: Episode 6)
